Choose your audio output and assign an instrument to your track. You can start with a built-in instrument without VST plug-ins. - Compose with AI assistance
Direct AI to compose and arrange, then develop your music with MIDI keyboard input and piano roll editing. - Listen and adjust
Play back your music and adjust phrases and sounds. Export the finished song as MIDI or WAV.
To use a MIDI keyboard, connect it, select it as your MIDI input device, and check that it plays your chosen instrument. You can combine keyboard input, manual note entry, and AI generation.
Initial setup
Audio output and ASIO
Select the playback device in Settings. For stable, low-latency playback we recommend an ASIO driver. If you use an audio interface, install the manufacturer's ASIO driver and select the ASIO device in audio settings. If playback stutters, raise the buffer size.
Project settings
Setting tempo, time signature, and key before generating keeps AI output and later MIDI editing stable.
AI composition
AI features in the trial can be used through external services such as Codex App and Claude CLI, or through an API connection.AI access through an OmniComposer subscription is not supported in the trial.
Describe purpose, genre, mood, instruments, and arrangement direction. Example: "night city synthwave, quiet verse, wider chorus, bass and soft pads."
Prompting tips
- Include genre and purpose (e.g. game BGM, video intro).
- Limiting instruments to two to four parts keeps the arrangement focused.
- Describe mood in plain words (e.g. bright and driving, calm and nocturnal).
- BPM, key, time signature, and length are followed when specified; otherwise the AI chooses.
Multi-tab production
Keep song ideas, alternate arrangements, and practice patterns in separate tabs. Preserve one direction, generate another, and compare melody, harmony, drums, and sound.
MIDI editing
To use a MIDI keyboard, connect it, select it as your MIDI input device, and check that it plays your chosen instrument. You can combine keyboard input, manual note entry, and AI generation.
The piano roll is not AI-only. Place notes directly with the pencil tool and compose from scratch without AI, or edit notes the AI generated.
Adjust pitch, length, timing, and velocity to match your intent.
Common edits
- Move part of a melody up or down.
- Align bass rhythm with the drums.
- Shape velocity for a more performed feel.
- Remove notes that clutter the phrase.
VST plug-ins
Load VST instruments and effects to play generated MIDI with your own sound. Add plug-in folders in Settings, scan them, then assign to each track.
If a plug-in does not appear, check the folder, format, and scan result.
Export
Export finished projects as MIDI or WAV. Use MIDI when continuing in another DAW; use WAV for listening or sharing.
Troubleshooting
No sound
Check audio output, master volume, track mute state, and assigned instrument.
VST not found
Add the correct folder and scan again. Unsupported or damaged plug-ins may not load.
Result does not match your idea
Shorten the prompt and clarify genre, instruments, and mood. Fewer conditions often improve consistency.
